Need of Vastu

Vastu is an ancient science of architecture.  Eastern theology ascertains that the purpose of human life is to become FULLY obedient to Supreme Lord – who has created this manifested world for making us learn just one thing – COMPLETE OBEDIENCE to Lord.

Generally, everyone in this world is referred to as disobedient to God.  Therefore interestingly we find that all the people (except a few rare) who are born in this world, from the very beginning of their birth have a tendency to behave exactly opposite to what is recommended in scriptures.

When we talk of complete obedience to Lord, that could be a revolutionary concept and many people may retaliate.  This is not at all surprising in the masses – who are accepted as disobedient.  Now those who are determined to be disobedient this article is not for them, but those who aspire to understand and become completely obedient to the Supreme Lord (Sri Krishna) may be benefited from this article.

This concept of obedience is extended even in the realm of building.  If we want to construct something, be that home for personal dwelling, an office, a building, a community, or even planning the development of the village, town, or city – there are strict guidance given in scriptures to build as per those guidelines.  One who aspires to be obedient to the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna must follow those rules and one who wants to deliberately disobey the Lord may do otherwise.

So in simple words, Vastu is nothing but the instructions of Scriptures (which are considered the direct instructions of Parabrahma) in relation to building something.  As long as one remains disobedient to the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna, one must continue the cycle of birth and death along with three-fold miseries.  Therefore, the principles of Vastu are essential for those who are in the process of learning complete obedience to the Supreme Lord.
